In an effort to make up revenue lost due to COVID-19 stay at home orders, California's San Jose International Airport is considering increasing its Customer Facility Charge fees, according to the San Jose Spotlight.

In a memo, Director of Aviation John Aitken proposed raising fees from $7.50 a day to $9 a day beginning Feb. 1.

An airport spokesperson told the news outlet that car rentals and flights are down by 80% in comparison to 2019.
