GlobalmatiX, a mobile communications and telematics provider, announced its expansion into the North American market.

Established in 2017, GlobalmatiX has over 40 years of automotive and industrial experience as a subsidiary of Softing AG / Inc., which is headquartered in Munich, Germany, and Knoxville, Tennessee. The company specializes in M2M/IoT and supplies vehicle manufacturers, telematics providers, and rental and carsharing operators with telematics for GPS positioning, tracking, remote vehicle diagnostics, and predictive maintenance at the OEM level.

The company has European clients such as TrackStar, Astreon, Porsche Digital, ArealControl, and Daimler, and recently signed the Enterprise Holdings licensee in Switzerland, MSS Holding, which operates the Enterprise, Alamo, and National brands. GlobalmatiX is now making aggressive inroads to extend its NA market presence, the company said in a statement.

GlobalmatiX says it is prepared for a future in which all vehicles will have an IP address as a digital-license-plate, constantly uploading data to the Cloud in real time. To overcome security threats, the company developed a patented Security-by-Design IoT solution with its connected Car2Cloud platform.
