Budget Costa Rica Implements Rent Centric Platform

With the rise in need for contactless rental solutions brought on by the pandemic, Budget Costa Rica announced a decision to adopt the Rent Centric self-service automation platform — the same technology used by Zipcar Costa Rica.

Zipcar, owned by Avis Budget Group, has used Rent Centric since 2015 for its car share platform. Budget now brings the same technology to 32 locations across the Central American country to automate its customer service interactions.

As expansion decisions are never made lightly, we reassessed possibilities with new efforts, and we were happy to conclude that our initial decisions many years ago was significantly forward thinking in the right place. Budget has more than 85 employees and a fleet of over 1,000 units in Costa Rica, and was selected twice as the best Budget Rent a Car Licensee in Latin America.
