Green Motion announced in a statement on March 1 that Mark Tristram-Walmsley, formerly global franchise director for Europcar, has joined the company, heading up its franchise development team as global franchise director.

"I am absolutely delighted that Mark has taken the decision to join our senior leadership team," said Green Motion's founder and CEO Richard Lowden in the statement. "Mark is one of the most respected individuals within the car rental sector with a wealth of experience that is second to none and I have no doubt whatsoever will play a pivotal part in driving the Green Motion brand through its next chapter of growth.

"I am thrilled to be joining Richard and his senior leadership team at such an exciting time for Green Motion and help spearhead a drive to expand our global franchise network even further into new markets with both new and our existing car rental franchise partners," added Tristram-Walmsley.

Tristram-Walmsley has held senior positions not only with the Europcar Mobility Group, but prior to that, spent 20 years in various commercial and operational roles with Hertz and Avis Budget Group.
