Newsweek and The Daily Beast in partnership with Orbitz for Business released the results of a survey of business travelers on March 13.

Of those surveyed, 74% of business travelers expect the same amount or more business travel in 2013 compared to last year.

Additionally, online adoption is also strong with 90% of respondents booking travel online “at least some of the time” and 67% booking at least three fourths of their trips online.

In the past 12 months, 37% of respondents took five or more business trips and nearly 39% stayed at least 20 hotel nights.

Among the respondents in a managed travel program, 47% book their own travel while only 17% report that their travel is booked by the company travel department.

The companies surveyed 572 business travelers online between Dec. 14, 2012 and Jan. 1, 2013.
