According to TechCircle on April 1, Bangalore-based ZoomCar India Pvt. Ltd. raised more than $215,000 from New York-based Empire Angels and a UK-based investor group led by Lady Barbara Judge.

The company aims to enter the $3 billion rental car market in India and expand to multiple neighborhoods over the next nine months.

ZoomCar currently runs a self-drive car rental service with seven vehicles, allowing members to rent by the hour or day. Once registered, members can choose a car from the website or mobile app and pick up or drop off the car from the same location once their usage is over.
