With its recent opening at Vienna’s Wien Westbahnhof train station, Flinkster, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, is now the third car-sharing company in Vienna, according to a report by Vienna Times. Flinkster joins Car2Go and Carsharing.at.

The Austrian Traffic Club told the Vienna Times that car sharing has great potential in Austria, since only every fourth household has more than one car.

“Second cars are only driven on average around 8,500 kilometers per year,” the Austrian Traffic Club told the Vienna Times. “Car sharing pays off for cars which travel less than 12,000 kilometers per year.”

With 800 locations in 140 cities throughout Germany, Flinkster is set to open 18 more locations in Vienna, according to the report.
