The Hertz Corp. has added 40 new Toyota Prius Hybrid vehicles to its Green Collection in Australia.
These vehicles are now available to rent from city and airport locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. Perth renters can start renting these fuel-efficient vehicles starting Nov. 1, says Hertz.
According to Hertz, introducing the Toyota Prius in Australia is part of its dedication to delivering sustainability solutions via its “Living Journey” commitment. This includes a range of environmentally conscious business practices as well as vehicle rental options that are fuel efficient and use clean, low-emissions technology.
"Globally, we are constantly looking for initiatives that reduce environmental impacts,” said Michel Taride, group president of Hertz International. “The Green Collection highlights this commitment and features vehicles that reduce CO2 emissions to a practicable minimum."
"Sustainable business practices are extremely important to us, and we're proud to expand the Green Collection in Australia with the Toyota Prius,” said Chris Rusden, regional vice president, Hertz Australia and New Zealand. “The fuel-efficient vehicle is the ideal rental solution for drivers concerned about the environment and high fuel prices, while also looking for style, comfort and uncompromised performance."
