Three men were arrested for using fake credit cards and drivers’ licenses to rent luxury vehicles, according to a report by LongIsland.com. Once the three Long Island, N.Y., men rented the vehicles, they would sell them at a lower price.

Varying from Cadillacs to Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the rental cars were stolen from rental operators at John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota told LongIsland.com. The main rental companies affected were Hertz and Avis.

The fake IDs were produced with items that one of the suspects bought off Ebay. The items included embossing machines, thermal printers, blank cards and a Tipper Machine, which is used to raise the imprinted numbers on fake credit cards, according to the report.
