Since its launch on June 8, more than 15,000 Denver residents have registered as members of car2go North America’s point-to-point car-sharing program. Denver customers share a network of 300 car2go edition smart fortwo vehicles.

"Denver has embraced car2go as part of its active, metropolitan lifestyle, which has been made evident by the 15,000 registered members in the community," said Nicholas Cole, president and CEO of car2go North America. "car2go continues to integrate naturally with popular transportation options such as Denver's B-cycle and the RTD light rail and bus system."

"Denver welcomed car2go into the city's unique transportation model six months ago," said Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock. "We strive to provide our residents with viable and diverse transportation options to suit the mobility needs of the city."

Currently, car2go operates in several U.S. cities, including Austin, San Diego, Washington D.C., Portland, Miami, Seattle, Minneapolis and Columbus.
