The Hertz Corp. has announced the expansion of its Give + Go rental program — where the proceeds from the first hour of every Hertz 24/7 Give + Go rental are donated to a designated charitable organization.

Hertz has extended its relationship with Food Bank For New York City to provide an additional 50,000 meals to local New York residents through Give + Go. Each Hertz 24/7 rental in a Give + Go car will provide up to 70 free meals, says Hertz.

"Many consumers are looking for impactful ways to support their communities, and the Give + Go program provides both a sustainable rental option, as all cars are hourly green vehicle rentals, and supports worthy local organizations,” said Mark Frissora, Hertz chairman and CEO. “Give + Go also harnesses Hertz 24/7 mobile app and rental services to provide a technology-driven mobility solution consumers are seeking out."

"Food Bank For New York City is very grateful to Hertz for their generous support," said Patrick Mooney, senior director of philanthropy at Food Bank For New York City. "Right now, one in five New York City residents rely on Food Bank's programs and services and the need continues to grow. The Hertz 24/7 Give + Go Program will certainly have a positive impact on those we serve."
