Sixt announced that its booking feature has been integrated into the “Travel Guide by Worldhotels” app at the ITB International Tourism Exchange in Berlin. This extends Sixt’s alliance with Worldhotels, a hotel search engine that features independent hotels.

App users can now book Sixt rentals via a smartphone or tablet using the app, which includes other services such as a currency convertor, flight information and hotel ratings, says Sixt.

“We are working hard to make it as easy and quick as possible for our customers to book Sixt rental cars,” said Robert Theml, Sixt’s director of product management. “To achieve this, we continuously develop ground-breaking online and mobile services. Booking Sixt rental cars using our partner Worldhotels app is an excellent example of how successful our efforts have been.”

Sixt is also planning to roll out joint marketing activities, booking discounts and local collaborations through other campaigns online and offline with Worldhotels.

The app is available for free at the iTunes Store and Google Play.
