BMW plans to grow its car-sharing program to as many as 25 cities in the U.S. and Europe, according to a report by Bloomberg Businessweek.

Peter Schwarzenbauer, a board member in charge of BMW’s car-sharing program, told Businessweek that BMW hopes to add its DriveNow short-term rental business in 10 to 15 locations in Europe and 10 more locations in the U.S.

“It offers very good opportunities for us to attract new customers,” Schwarzenbauer told Businessweek.

Partnering with Sixt, BMW runs DriveNow in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Dusseldorf and San Francisco, says the report. With about 240,000 users, DriveNow features Mini vehicles and BMW 1-Series compacts.
