Madrid-based Bluemove has announced a new agreement with Kia. Under the new partnership, Bluemove increased its fleet by 300% with the addition of 140 vehicles.
“We have been noticing lately that our users demand more vehicles,” said Bluemove CEO Jorge Gonzalez-Iglesias. “The increase in the fleet is [result] of the growth that the company has been experimenting in recent times.”
With the partnership, the car-sharing company — which rents vehicles by the hour starting at $2.75 — has become the leading company in Spain.
“[It] shows Bluemove’s compromise with sustainable mobility and also demonstrates that we have no fears of betting in what we consider an extraordinary solution to the mobility problems in the big cities,” added González-Iglesias.
The company was founded in 2010 and continues to find ways to help its more than 7,000 clients utilize car sharing in their everyday lives.
