Illinois’ Quad City International Airport is getting a $20 million makeover, including a new consolidated rental car facility.

Aimed to combine all the rental companies’ maintenance activities in one place, it is expected to open in a few months, according to an article by the Quad-City Times. This new $7 million rental car facility will offer four service bays, office space and parking for 400 vehicles, Bryan Johnson, assistant aviation director, told the Quad-City Times.

At the new 10,000-square-foot building and parking lot, the rental car employees will be able to fuel the cars, clean them and perform other maintenance duties. Currently, the airport has six rental companies, including Avis, Budget, Hertz, Enterprise, National and Alamo, according to the report.

“The facility is sized for the current car companies we have, but we also have room for growth,” Johnson told the Quad-City Times.
