Capital Car Share, a nonprofit organization, will be launching its car-sharing service in downtown Albany, N.Y., in June, according to an article by CBS 6 Albany.

“This is going to give people the opportunity to give up a car, save some money, use that money to go on a vacation, spend money in the city, help people both ways,” said Jennifer Ceponis, a member of Capital CarShare’s board of directors, told CBS 6.

Capital Car Share will launch in the neighborhoods of Arbor Hill, Center Square, Park South and Pine Hills, according to the article. Including gas, insurance and taxes, the service charges will run between $8 and $11 per hour.

For its marketing campaign, Capital Car Share is looking to raise $20,000 for purchasing the vehicles and hiring staff.
