Uber, a mobile-application-based company that connects customers with vehicle drivers, will be expanding its UberX service to Perth, Australia, according to an article by the Sydney Morning Herald.

This will be Uber’s fourth city of operation in Australian. Providing a cheaper alternative to Uber, UberX uses vehicles such as the Toyota Prius and Honda Civic, according to the report.

Uber’s ride-sharing service has caused anger among Australian taxi companies since Uber drivers don’t have to pay for a taxi license, which can cost up $400,000 per year, says the report.

Entering Australia in 2012, Uber is currently available in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
