Blackline GPS, a developer of products and services for worker safety monitoring and portable business tracking, has signed a distributor agreement to enter the German marketplace with NSHtec, a German-based supplier of lone worker safety systems.

“The fact that there are over 80 million people living in Germany makes this market one of the most potentially significant for Blackline’s worker safety products,” said Gavin Boorman, managing director for Blackline GPS Europe. “Germany is a highly regulated market, and our partnership with NSHtec, as a stocking distributor with considerable experience selling lone worker solutions in Germany, is a major step forward for the company.”

“We are very happy to complement our own smartphone offering for lone workers with the full product portfolio of Blackline GPS in Germany, Austria and Switzerland,” said Martin Schimanowski, managing director for NSHtec. “We can now respond to a wider audience in many more applications.”

Additionally, Blackline has signed a five-year lease to expand its manufacturing headquarters in Calgary, Alberta.

“Our decision to increase the manufacturing, customer care and onboarding divisions of the company has been driven by the expanding product portfolio we are bringing to market,” says Kevin Meyers, chief operating officer for Blackline GPS.
