Starting in July, car2go will bring its car-sharing service to St. Paul, Minn. The St. Paul City Council recently approved an 18-month agreement with car2go, according to a report by the StarTribune.

car2go will add 185 cars to its Twin Cities fleet and pay St. Paul $975 a year per vehicle, says the report. This will cover potential lost meter revenue and residential parking permits.

car2go currently operates in nearby Minneapolis with a fleet of 350 smart fortwo vehicles, according to the report. Members pay a $35 fee for the service and about 46 cents per minute while driving.
