Pam Nicholson, the CEO and president of Enterprise Holdings, has been named to Fortune magazine’s 2014 list of the “Most Powerful Women in Business,” which was released Sept. 18.

Nicholson appeared on the list in the 22nd position, the same ranking she received in 2013, according to the magazine. She first appeared on Fortune’s annual list in 2007 at number 44.

In 1981, Nicholson started her career with Enterprise as a management trainee and was named the president in 2008 and CEO in 2013. Currently, she is expanding the car rental company with locations in more than 70 countries, according to the magazine.

Fortune magazine editors compiled the list based on the size and importance of the woman's business in the global economy; the health and direction of the business; the arc of the woman's career; and social and cultural influence.
