The 2015 International Car Rental Show announces the closing panel seminar, “Car Rental and the Future of Transportation,” to be held on Tuesday April 14 at 4:45 p.m.

This seminar visions the future to understand car rental’s place in the spectrum of transportation. The panelists will present a big-picture look at how technology, travel demographics, the legislative climate and the new sharing economy are shaping how we get around.

The closing panel consists of Erik Hansen, senior director, domestic policy for U.S. Travel Association; Luke Schneider, CEO of Silvercar; Christopher Agnew, senior analyst covering travel and leisure for MKM Research Partners, an equity trading and research firm; and Doyle Gunnell, global project manager of Ground Transportation for CWT Solutions Group, the consulting division of Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT).

“This closing seminar creates a fitting bookend for the 2015 Car Rental Show,” says Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News. “This year’s opening panel will present the 35,000-foot view of the car rental industry today, while the closing panel will extend that view into the future — and tie it into transportation trends as a whole.”

“We’re delighted to have assembled another ‘all-star’ panel from various disciplines in travel, not just car rental,” says Brown, who will moderate the panel. “Our panelists are thought leaders in their fields, representing Wall Street, business transportation, the cutting edge of tech startups and worldwide travel as it affects this country.”

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the 2015 International Car Rental Show will take place April 13-14 at Bally’s Las Vegas. Visit www.carrentalshow.com for more information.
