Tulsa International Airport will begin construction of a rental car return facility, according to a report by Tulsa World.

Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust approved a $26 million contract for Crossland Heavy Contractors to build the facility, according to the report.

The project, which is being funded through bonds, should take 18 months to complete, Jeff Hough, deputy airports director of engineering and facilities, told Tulsa World.

Upon completion, the new facility will feature 480 covered public parking spaces, a third-level concrete deck, access ramps and elevators as well as stairs, according to the article. Rental car companies will relocate from their current location on the lower level to the second level.
