San Antonio’s City Council will decide whether to invest $166 million to build a new consolidated rental car facility at San Antonio International Airport, according to a report by the San Antonio Business Journal.

If the initiative passes on June 18, construction on the new facility could begin this summer.

The seven-story, 1.8-million-square-feet facility would include vehicle pick-ups and return, a customer service lobby and a quick turnaround facility, according to the report. The project would be funded through a customer facility charge.
