Monique Marlowe was shot and killed while working at a Hertz Rent-A-Car location in Duluth, Ga., in September 2012.
While vacuuming a vehicle in a back lot of the Hertz location, she was approached by a still-unknown suspect, assaulted and shot in the stomach, according to a report by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She died after arriving at the hospital.
The suspect escaped. Almost three years later and no suspects have been named, charged or arrested, according to the report.
Hertz announced a $25,000 reward and then raised it up to $50,000, says the report. Marlowe’s family has decided to match that reward with their own money, which brings the total to $100,000.
“Maybe, just maybe that will be enough to get someone to talk,” Dan Marlowe, Monique’s father, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
