New Hampshire's Manchester-Boston Regional Airport will start construction on a new $6 million rental car center that is scheduled to open in May 2016, according to a report by the Union Leader.

The 10,700-square-foot center will serve the airport’s six rental car companies and will be located across from the terminal, says the report. Moving the rental car counters will create more space in the terminal for seating and charging stations.

The new center will be funded by the daily $2.25 fee that car rental companies collect from customers at the airport, Thomas Malafronte, the assistant airport director of air service development, told the Union Leader.
