Pam Nicholson, the CEO and president of Enterprise Holdings, has been recognized in Fortune magazine’s 2015 list of the “Most Powerful Women in Business.”

Nicholson appeared on the list in the 20th position, up from the 22nd position in 2014, according to the magazine. She first appeared on Fortune’s annual list in 2007 at number 44.

In 1981, Nicholson started her career with Enterprise as a management trainee and was named the president in 2008 and CEO in 2013. She became the company’s first non-family CEO. Currently, she’s expanding the business in the U.S. and overseas — to a projected $19.4 billion this year, according to the magazine.

Fortune magazine editors compiled the list based on the size and importance of the woman's business in the global economy; the health and direction of the business; the arc of the woman's career; and social and cultural influence.
