Canadian-based carsharing company Pogo CarShare and the University of Alberta’s Office of Sustainability have entered a partnership through the university’s Campus Sustainability Initiative.

Pogo CarShare vehicles can now be parked at certain lots on campus, according to a report by The Gateway.

With carsharing and our strong public transit links, anyone living, studying or working on campus has access to sustainable transportation,” Trina Innes, chief sustainability officer for the University of Alberta, said in a press release. “These options reduce our climate impact.”

Students can use the code “UALBERTA” on the Pogo CarShare website to waive the $35 registration fee and receive 15 free driving minutes, according to the report. Rates start at 47 cents per minute, $14.99 per hour and $69.99 per day.
