Zipcar is now operating at more than 500 colleges and universities throughout North America.

The carsharing company started the year with operations on 400 campuses. Throughout 2015, Zipcar signed new partnership agreements with more than 100 colleges and universities, according to the company.

“College and university administrators clearly understand the value that Zipcar brings to campus life,” said Kaye Ceille, Zipcar’s president. “We’re a trusted global brand, and we offer mobility and freedom to students while providing a solution to campus parking challenges. By introducing Zipcar to students during college, we also help them understand that the benefits of living car-free or car-lite can stay with them after they graduate. We’re incredibly pleased with the success we’ve seen on campuses, and look forward to continued growth.”

Zipcars are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for reservation with gas, insurance and 180 miles per day included.
