Zipcar is partnering with GLAAD, an LGBTQ media advocacy organization, during Pride month to help drive acceptance and equality forward for the LGBTQ community.

"Zipcar's carsharing movement has always been about building community, and we believe that should include everyone," said Kaye Ceille, Zipcar’s president. "We have proudly supported LGBTQ organizations and Pride events across the country since our early days. It's been a long road, and there are many miles ahead. We're excited to partner with GLAAD this year to drive equality even further."

Additionally, Zipcar will continue its annual Pride campaign, in which the company donates $1 for every reservation on its branded Pride cars. Proceeds benefit select local LGBTQ organizations where the Pride cars are located. Each Pride car is decorated with a rainbow Zipcar logo, according to the company.

"We are thrilled to partner with Zipcar to accelerate LGBTQ acceptance," said Sarah Kate Ellis, GLAAD president and chief executive officer. "When companies stand up against discrimination and injustice, it sends a clear and important message to LGBTQ people across the country that they are supported."
