The city of Berkeley is now accepting applications from companies interested in providing one-way carshare in the region, according to an article by The Daily Californian.

The article reported the city aims to launch the pilot program in early 2017 with the intent of allowing people to use a mobile application or website to locate and use a nearby rental car one-way. Depending on the company, the anticipated rental cost would be 35 to 50 cents a minute.
