Four months after the launch of a pilot program in Munich, Mercedes-Benz owner Daimler’s peer-to-peer carsharing platform Croove is now being rolled out in other major German cities.
In mid-April, Croove’s platform launched in Berlin. The platform continues to be open to vehicles of all makes.
Coinciding with the Berlin launch, the Croove app is now available for Android users, too. The website has also been refreshed and includes new functionality such as the ability to upload and manage vehicle information via a web browser.
Using the app or website, renters can find a private vehicle in Berlin that meets their specifications and price expectations. Owners who rent out their vehicle are able to optimize their car's rate of usage while earning some extra money.
Vehicles must be in good condition and no more than 15 years old, according to the company. Once renters register, they can contact vehicle owners via the app or website and arrange appointments.
In the future, Croove intends to make keyless access possible.
