On Sept. 12, DriveNow’s carsharing service will be available in Lisbon, Portugal.

DriveNow’s service will place 211 cars of the BMW and Mini brands, including electric vehicles, for use in Lisbon. The free-floating carsharing service allows customers to leave or pick up the car anywhere within the operating area, according to the company.

In Lisbon, the operating area covers 48 square kilometers at the beginning, reaching from east to west and north to south of the city. Pick up and drop off at the airport will be available at a later time, says the company

During the pre-launch campaign, registering is free and includes a free 20-minute driving offer.
