AutoTel has distributed 170 carsharing vehicles throughout the city of Tel Aviv, according to a report by No Camels. Israeli-based Car2Go is operating this carsharing service.
The city of Tel Aviv has assigned at least 340 parking spaces for drivers using AutoTel, says the report.
AutoTel users can book a vehicle through a mobile app. Drivers pay 42 cents per minute, according to the report.
“With 5 million people around the globe already using carsharing systems, we know that car ownership rates could drop by 20% to 30%,” Gil Laser, CEO of Car2Go, said during a press conference.
