Attendees of CES Las Vegas 2018, an international showcase of consumer technology, will be able to hail rides in a semi-autonomous BMW 5 Series, due to a partnership between Lyft and Aptiv, according to a press statement by Aptiv, a self-driving tech company.

Users will be able to travel to more than 20 locations within the Las Vegas strip area, and the cars can be hailed from the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The BMW 5 Series vehicles will include a safety driver in case of any self-driving systems failures. An in-car host will also be present to educate riders on the vehicle and its self-driving technology.

Recently, Aptiv acquired nuTonomy, a self-driving car start-up which had partnered with Lyft for autonomous vehicle research and development.
