Ride-hailing startup Lyft and autonomous vehicle technology company Aptiv are extending their stay in Las Vegas, following the CES 2018, Fortune reported.
During the annual tech convention, Lyft and Aptiv collaborated to provide rides to more than 20 locations on the strip in semi-autonomous BMW 5 Series. The vehicles included a safety driver in case of any system failures and an in-car host to educate riders on the vehicle and the self-driving tech.
At the North American International Auto Show, Aptiv CTO Glen De Vos hinted that the two tech companies are looking to bring the pilot program to a second market.
