Udrive, a pay-by-the-minute car rental group, is set to begin operating in the United Arab Emirates city of Sharjah, Trade Arabia reports.

Originally launched in Dubai, the rental group plans to introduce a fleet of 100 Nissan Sunnys and Kia Picantos in its second location.

Vehicles will be available 24/7 and can be rented through the Udrive app or website. Once a customer has registered for the service, the car can be unlocked through his or her smartphone.

New customers can enjoy their first hour of driving for free. Additionally, all customers can take advantage of free fuel, comprehensive insurance, and free parking at key areas across the city.

Currently, Udrive has 20,000 registered users and records 600 trips daily.
