A car rental counter operated by M/s Taj Indian Tours opened under heavy police security at the Dabolim International Airport Monday, the Times of India reports.

About 250 police were sent to the airport, located in the south western Indian state of Goa, as a precautionary measure, due to feared altercations with the Untied Taximen Association. The group has accused government officials of “going out of their way to help a Delhi-based company.”

There were no reports of violence or altercations throughout the day.

Officials told the group it can make a formal complaint to the high court if it feels the rental car company has received any special or illegal treatment.

The high court is set to look at the matter today.
