Co-Wheels Car Club, an independent carhsaring operator based in Newcastle, has joined the Oply carsharing network in an effort to expand across Europe, Sintons reports.
Currently, Co-Wheels operates in more than 40 municipalities in the U.K. The company also provides fleet management services to major corporate and public sector groups.
The partnership is backed by Luxembourg-based ExaMotive, a European provider of on-demand mobility solutions. It also operates the Oply carshare network currently serving multiple German cities.
SAIC Europe and MG UK, subsidiaries of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, are also backing the partnership. SAIC is the largest car maker in China and owns the MG & MAXUS brand.
