United MileFleet has appointed Andy Wilson as its new president. The announcement follows the 2018 merger of Mile Fleet LLC with United Rental Group America Ltd, a U.K.-owned company.

The merger created a nationwide ‘one- stop-shop’ for car rental companies, offering vehicle leasing and fleet purchase to the independent rental car sector, as well as associated products and services, including remarketing, vehicle tracking, and insurance.

Originally employed by United Rental Group in the U.K., Wilson moved to the U.S. with his family in 2015 to spearhead the company’s U.S. operation. He will now lead United MileFleet’s nationwide operations and oversee the transition of all United Rental Group’s and Mile Fleet’s products and services to under the United MileFleet umbrella.

Wilson, 46, takes over the presidency from Mike H. Muehlenfeld who founded Mile Fleet in 2008. Muehlenfeld has elected to stand down from the role, however, will remain in the business in an advisory capacity.

United MileFleet currently provides cars and commercial vehicles to over 250 rental companies across the United States.
