Self-driving carsharing service Loop has launched in the New Zealand city of Hamilton under a three-year contract, the NZ Herald reports.

Waikato-based Loop operates a fleet of Volkswagen Golfs that cost about 15 NZD ($9.70) to rent per hour. Users must download the Loop app to book a vehicle.

The company plans to add more vehicles to the city's program within the next few months.
