Lyft and Uber plan to stop service at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport after the city council voted to increase ride-hailing fees, according to Smart Cities Drive.

The city council passed an amendment increasing fees for airport ground transportation, raising the fee for ride-hailing pick-ups from $2.66 to $4. The rate will increase over the coming years, capping out at $5 by 2024. The city council also instituted a $4 drop-off fee.

The ride-hailing companies said they will end service before the fees take effect Feb. 1.
