A former Thrifty Car Rental office serving Boise Airport is being converted to an office and exhibit space for the Wildland Firefighter Foundation (WFF).

According to Boisedev.com, the foundation acquired the property in 2017. The building will remain standing though the new construction features a turret intended to resemble an old forest fire lookout.

In addition to offices, the space will house an interpretive center and contain photos of fallen wildland firefighters, according to the report. The WFF aids families of fallen firefighters.
