Rollins Leasing Corp. and UPS Logistics Group recently signed a strategic alliance. Terms have not been disclosed yet, however, Rollins has become the preferred provider of lease and rental vehicles to Worldwide Dedicated Services, a unit of UPS Logistics Group. UPS Logistics Group also becomes the preferred provider of logistics management and dedicated logistics services to Rollins and its customers.

Additional parts of the deal include:

1) Rollins will acquire UPS Truck Leasing, which provides full-service lease and rental services to 4,000 customers from 54 U.S. facilities. It also provides maintenance services on 9,000+ vehicles.

2) Worldwide Dedicated Services (UPS Logistics Group) buys Rollins Logistics, which provides dedicated and logistics services to 100+ U.S. customers.

The deal is expected to close in early January 2000, pending regulatory approvals.
