CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport is considering a plan to charge car rental customers a $3 per-car surcharge in order to finance construction of a new consolidated maintenance center for on-airport RACs.
Car rental customers already pay a 3% state rental surcharge and a 10% airport concession fee.
Airport Authority President Mark VanLoh unveiled the plan at a board meeting on Monday, Dec. 16.
