PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- The Hertz Corp. announced it has opened three new car rental facilities in Chicago and South Holland, Ill. In addition, the company has converted 15 existing locations into Hertz Local Edition facilities to provide broader coverage of the Chicago-area suburban market.

Hertz now operates more than 40 different locations throughout Illinois, serving the insurance replacement, business and leisure markets.

"We are expanding our off-airport business, called Hertz Local Edition, throughout the state of Illinois, with an emphasis on the greater Chicago area," said James Calpin, Hertz division vice president for the Midwest Region. "Strategically located, the new locations represent Hertz's commitment to the local market and our commitment to meet all of our customers' rental needs, which include special insurance replacement rates."
