COLUMBUS, Ohio -- -- Delta Connection on Friday celebrated the launch of three new round-trip flights between Columbus, Ohio, and the Florida cities of Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers during ceremonies at Port Columbus International Airport.

The new service is part of Delta Connection's major Columbus route expansion including Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Florida and New York. Delta Connection carrier Chautauqua Airlines operates the new flights with Embraer ERJ135 and ERJ145 regional jets.

Delta Connection also will add three new nonstop, round-trip flights to Boston on June 11. On April 23, Chautauqua started two new nonstop flights to Delta's Dallas/Fort Worth hub, one new nonstop flight to Delta's international gateway at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport, and one round-trip flight each to Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers. Chautauqua Airlines initiated Delta Connection service from Columbus with three round-trip flights to Orlando on Nov. 1, 2002.
