PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- The Hertz Corp. has partnered with FixUSA, the U.S. division of FixAuto, to provide car rental services to FixUSA's network of independent auto body repair centers.

Through Hertz Local Edition, Hertz's network of suburban rental locations, Hertz will offer such services as rental car pickup and delivery to FixUSA's body shops. Customers will be able to pick up their rental car at the repair shop or from a nearby Hertz location.

Hertz said the partnership offers insurers and consumers a seamless transaction from the customer's first contact with his or her insurance company through the final billing and payment process. Arranging the rental car and tow and scheduling the shop appointment all take place when a customer first contacts FixUSA.

"Hertz has a long-standing commitment to develop its suburban and insurance replacement business," said Joseph R. Nothwang, Hertz's executive vice president and president of auto rental and leasing for the Americas and Pacific. "FixUSA's commitment to quality and service mirrors that of Hertz, and our partnership enables customers whose cars need to be repaired to arrange for all needs, including car rental, with one call to FixUSA."

FixUSA offers complete after-collision services to collision repairers, insurers and consumers.
