TULSA, Okla. -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group (DTG) announced it has exceeded the $100,000 level in financial grants awarded to Oklahoma teachers as part of the company's Neighbors Together for Schools program.

In the 2003-04 school year alone, DTG has awarded $44,858 in financial grants to 100 teachers in 23 Oklahoma school districts and five private schools. In the five years of the program, the company has awarded $110,298 in classroom grants.

This year's program has benefited an estimated 19,000 children in grades K-12, funding special classroom projects.
