JACKSTON, Miss. -- U-Save Auto Rental of America announced the sale of new franchises in two key airport markets: Anchorage, Alaska, and Providence, R.I. U-Save now has 21 airport locations.

Pat Walsh and Dan Cogan, who operate U-Save locations at the Boston/Logon and Manchester airports, will run the Providence rental operation. "We are very excited about our third U-Save airport location," Walsh said. "With the company's Web site development, we believe the revenue opportunities are excellent."

Tom McDonnell, co-chairman and co-CEO of U-Save Auto Rental, added: "The leisure market in the Northwest and our Internet expansion onto southwest.com and other channels will help to create strong revenue growth for our brand."

Mitch Laver, owner of the former Frontier Rent a Car, will operate the airport franchise in Anchorage.

U-Save also recently sold two neighborhood franchises in Bowling Green, Ky., and Keene, N.H.

"We continue to make strong progress on our airport expansion program while maintaining our growth in the local markets," said Sandy Miller, co-chairman and co-CEO of U-Save.
