PHILADELPHIA -- Enterprise Rent-A-Car this month opened an airport branch in Philadelphia, raising the number of company airport locations to 200.

This year marks the eighth consecutive year of double-digit growth in Enterprise's airport rental car business, the company said.

"Our goal is to extend the same high standard of customer service that we're known for in our 6,000 neighborhood locations to the airports near our customers, and in this case, it was Philadelphia International Airport," said Rob Hibbard, vice president of rental development for Enterprise.

Enterprise's arrival marked the first time in 15 years a new car rental company has opened at the Philadelphia International Airport.

The branch opening reflects Enterprise's continuing push into the competitive airport market nationwide. The company is opening as many as three airport branches a month, in addition to opening more than one branch every business day in the local, or non-airport, market.
